Summary

Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) self-service password reset (SSPR) provides users with the ability to change or reset their password without admin or help desk support. You can reset or change your password using the authentication method you determined with the system generated code.

How do I get it?

You must choose 3 authentication methods to activate the Self-Service Password Reset feature on your account.

The authentication method for the SSPR page is by default your GSM number. You need to notify the IT Department of your GSM number changes and change the number.

You must specify at least 2 of the 3 authentication methods on the page https://aka.ms/ssprsetup.

You must specify at least 2 authentication methods. It is recommended that you set as many methods as you can, but it is not mandatory.

The authentication methods are as follows:

  • Authentication Phone (Personal GSM number)
  • Authentication Email (Personal Email address)
  • Security questions (You need to answer the 5 security questions. If you cannot use the above authentication methods, you must enter the answer to 3 of the 5 questions.)
