Access to wired Internet access can be achieved by using active data sockets that start with the letter “D” on the wall of faculty

Wired Internet access is possible at the faculty buildings, administrative offices, lodging apartments, and dormitory rooms

  • Proper Ethernet cable should be plugged into the Data sockets that start with the letter "D---" on the room walls.
    • Ethernet cable is provided to offices and lodgings by IT.
    • Users need to supply their own cables for dormitory rooms.
  • Most of the time once the user plugs the device to the data port he/she can access the Internet without a need to install or configure any software.
    • If the port you are using is not active
    in the current location, port activation is provided by creating an IT track-it request.Users can start using the Internet by connecting their computers to the active data port with an Ethernet cable without any installation required.
    • your network connection will fail. You can request the port to be activated by submitting a Trackit.
  • Wired network access is limited for the guests.
