When you become affiliated with KU through onboarding processes at KU for faculty, staff, and students, a NetID is created for you. To set your initial NetID password or to change it, visit the KU NetID password change service page.

Log in to ku.blackboard.com.
Open the course in which you want to open Qwickly.
See "Online Attendance" at the bottom of your course menu.
Click "Online Attendance" link on course menu to see Qwickly Attendance page. Click Begin Set-Up button to start setting up.
Click the Settings at the top.
See Default Style (first setting option).
The explanations of the options are listed below:
List: Display all of the students on the attendance sheet at once in alphabetical order.
One By One: Show one student at a time and advance to the next using arrows.
Accessibility Mode: Display all students at once in an alphabetical list optimized for keyboard navigation.
Check In: Provides students with the ability to record their own attendance using their device.
See View Preferences (second setting option). These options affect the way you view attendance information
See Grade Center Integration (third setting option). Choose the method of grading you would like to use by checking the radio buttons.
No Grade Center Column: If you select this option, no grade center column for attendance will be created in the full grade center.
Total Point: This option defines a total number of points that attendance will be worth.
Per Session: This option defines a total number of points for each class.
No Grade Center Column for Absences: If you select this option, no grade center column for absences will be created in the full grade center.
Points per Absence: This option defines a number of points that each absence will be worth, use a negative value to subtract points.

See Absence Email (fifth setting option). Choose whether or not to send an email to students when they have been marked as absent.
See Attendance Statuses (the last setting option).
After clicking Add Status button, you will see the options below. You need to type order, name, points, absence, and select color. If you want to remove a custom attendance status, click X icon under Delete title.
Click Save Settings to finalize the process. Make sure to see notification “your settings have been saved”.
Taking Attendance
Qwickly Attendance offers a variety of ways to take attendance:
List: displays all students at once alphabetically
One By One: displays one student at a time
Accessibility Mode: displays all students at once alphabetically, but optimized for keyboard navigation
Check In: provides students with the ability to record their own attendance using their device.
Viewing Attendance Record
Click Attendance Record to view the report. Qwickly tracks points for attendance and absences if you set them in the Grading setting.
If attendance is graded, a new column is automatically added to the Full Grade Center. To view it, click Grade Center under Course Management panel. Then click Full Grade Center. You will see the Attendance column at the right side.
